About This Cause

## Clean Water Wells Project - Somalia ### The Water Crisis Somalia faces one of the world's worst water crises. Millions of people lack access to clean drinking water, leading to waterborne diseases and death, especially among children. ### Project Details We will construct 10 deep water wells in rural Somalia, each serving approximately 500-1000 people for generations to come. **Each Well Includes:** - Deep bore well (100-150 meters) - Hand pump or solar-powered pump - Concrete platform and drainage - Fencing for protection - Community training for maintenance ### Locations Wells will be strategically placed in: 1. Bay Region - 3 wells 2. Bakool Region - 3 wells 3. Hiraan Region - 4 wells ### Long-term Impact - 7,500+ people will have clean water access - Reduction in waterborne diseases by 80% - Children can attend school instead of fetching water - Women will have more time for income-generating activities ### Sadaqah Jariyah Building a well is a form of ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) - you will continue to receive rewards as long as the well provides water.
